Polda Bali tak hanya menertibkan warga negara asing (WNA) yang melanggar aturan lalu lintas. Masyarakat lokal juga diminta lebih dulu menunjukkan perilaku berkendara yang tertib agar tidak menjadi pembanding ketika petugas menindak WNA.

Direktur Lalu Lintas Polda Bali Kombes Yong Ferrydjon mengatakan penertiban terhadap WNA perlu berjalan beriringan dengan kedisiplinan pengendara lokal. Menurutnya, warga Bali perlu memberikan contoh agar aturan lalu lintas berlaku bagi semua pengguna jalan.

"Nanti (masyarakat) bisa memberikan contoh dulu. Jangan kita tertibkan WNA, WNA-nya bilang, 'Itu, Pak, masyarakatnya lokal seperti itu.' Jadi, kita sama-sama (tertib)," ujar Yong dalam konferensi pers Operasi Patuh Agung 2026 di Mapolda Bali, Senin (26/10/2026), dikutip dari detikBali.

Dalam pelaksanaan Operasi Patuh Agung, Ditlantas Polda Bali turut memantau pelanggaran yang dilakukan WNA. Sejumlah kawasan wisata menjadi perhatian, termasuk Canggu dan Sanur yang cukup sering menjadi lokasi penindakan terhadap turis asing yang melanggar aturan lalu lintas.

Yong mengatakan pemantauan akan terus dilakukan untuk melihat apakah pola pelanggaran WNA mengalami perubahan lokasi. Titik-titik yang menjadi lokasi pelanggaran akan dievaluasi secara berkala.

"Ke depannya akan terus kami evaluasi apakah ada pergeseran titik atau masih tetap di lokasi tersebut," kata dia.

Selain penindakan di lapangan, Ditlantas Polda Bali juga menyiapkan forum khusus untuk mencari solusi terkait pelanggaran lalu lintas oleh WNA. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) akan melibatkan berbagai unsur masyarakat serta ahli.

"Dari sana kita akan meminta masukan serta input, dan rekomendasi yang dihasilkan akan dilaksanakan bersama-sama dengan melibatkan para ahli," ujar Yong.

Operasi Patuh Agung 2026 digelar selama 14 hari untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam berlalu lintas sekaligus menekan angka kecelakaan di Bali. Sebanyak 1.055 personel Polda Bali dan jajaran polres dikerahkan dalam operasi tersebut.
